Griquas take on WP in Kimberley in this final round encounter of the Currie Cup This match is merely for academic purposes as neither team can qualify for the semi-finals. Both teams will however be desperate to avoid finishing in fifth spot, only above the hapless Griffons. PREDICTION
Griquas were struck a cruel blow when their Captain George Whitehead was injured in the opening round match that ruled him out of the entire season. His replacement Lubabalo Dobela was on fire in the win over the Cheetahs and the home side will be hoping for more of the same from the youngster. WP can be thankful to their bench as the likes of Joseph Dweba and Dave Ewers were the catalysts in getting them over the line. They will however be looking for more from Wandisile Simelane. The centre was not at his best as he struggled to get over the line. The home ground advantage makes me predict a Griquas win by 5 points.
