Glasgow vs Northampton
Glasgow play host to Northampton at the Scotstoun Stadium for their opening match in the Champions Cup. The home team will be smarting form their 40-29 defeat in their last match away to Ulster. The visitors on the other hand will be on cloud nine after they saw off Saracens 18-12 on the road last time out. They will be no pushovers against a Glasgow side that is unbeaten at home this season. The Scottish team have been sublime on their home patch and have not been afraid to run the ball form anywhere on the pitch.
TIP: Both teams should be at full strength for this encounter with Glasgow only sweating over the fitness of George Horne. The strange part about Glasgow is that despite their desire to run the ball at every opportunity, their biggest attacking weapon has been their rolling maul. Courtney Lawes will have a huge part to play as he is among the best in the game in stopping the driving maul. The bookies have Glasgow as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.35, Gbets 1.35 and Hollywoodbets 1.34

PREDICTION
Glasgow under Coach Franco Smith have proven to be one of the most entertaining sides in the URC while their opponents are one of the highest points scorers in the Premiership. This match is sure to produce plenty of running rugby, weather permitting, as there is a good chance of rain. The home side will be looking to Jack Dempsey and Rory Darge to get them over the advantage line while the Saints have their own hard running forwards in Lawes and Tom Pearson. The Warriors have the edge in the forwards therefore I’m predicting a home win by 10 points.
