Bath vs Ulster
Bath welcomes Ulster to the Rec for their opening match in this seasons Champions Cup. Both teams have excellent pedigree in European competition although they have not enjoyed much success in recent years. The home seems to have found form at the right time as they easily dispatched Exeter in their last match. The visitors will be smarting from their home defeat to Edinburgh in the last match and we are sure to see a positive reaction from them. Bath will be looking for their first ever win over the Irish side, having lost the previous six matches against them.
TIP: Bath have looked a different team this season after their struggles in the last Premiership campaign and much of the improvement is due to the signing of Finn Russell. The Scottish star has added a much-needed attacking edge to the team and has unlocked the potential in the backline. Ulster will again be looking to their rolling maul to get them the tries as this has been their biggest weapon in the last few seasons. The bookies have Bath as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.40, Gbets 1.40 and Hollywoodbets 1.41
HEAD-TO-HEAD STATS

- The last four matches have been decided by seven points or less.
Latest results for both teams
Bath beat Exeter Chiefs 41-24 in their last match while Ulster lost 27-24 to Edinburgh in their last match.
PREDICTION
Both teams strength lies in their forwards therefore Russell is the key for Bath as he can unlock the tightest of defenses. Ulster will need a massive improvement from their last match with Springbok Steven Kitshoff also looking to be better than the last time out. There are number of mouthwatering matchups with the centre duel between Cameron Redpath and Stuart McCloskey arguably the major highlight. Bath will need their maul defence to be at its best as Ulster will attack with it at every opportunity. If the home side can nullify the maul, then they will win this match. I am predicting a Bath win by 10 points.
