10-02-2024 Daily Predictions Six Nations Championships England vs Wales

England vs Wales

England welcomes Wales to Twickenham in this second round encounter of the Six Nations. Both teams enjoyed nail biting first round matches with England winning away to Italy 27-26 while Wales lost at home 27-26 to Scotland. The visitors will be hoping for a much better start than the first match where they found themselves down 27-0. They almost produced the greatest on comebacks but fell just an agonizing point short. England were also comfortably leading their match until they allowed Italy to score late in the match to make the scoreline much closer than expected.

TIP: England coach Steve Borthwick has decided to keep faith with the same playing XV for the second consecutive match as he seeks continuity. It is amazing to note that this is the first time in 4 years that England have selected the same team two matches running. Wales on the other hand have made seven changes following their loss with the likes of George North and Tomos Williams coming into the starting team. The latter made a huge difference when he came on in the last match. The bookies have England as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.20, Gbets 1.20 and Hollywoodbets 1.20

PREDICTION

Wales will be determined to improve on their record at Twickenham where they have been winless in almost a decade. They certainly have the stronger and more experienced team than the side that faced Scotland. North and Williams will definitely improve the strike force in their backline while they will be looking for another MOTM performance from Aaron Wainwright. England always lift their game when they play in front of their 83 000 fans and this match will be no different. It remains to be seen if they implement their more game in hand approach will be refreshing for everybody. I am predicting a home win by 15 points.
