Bulls vs Cheetahs
The Bulls welcomes the Cheetahs to their Loftus fortress for this crucial final round match in the Currie Cup. The home team needs a win in this match to book their place in the semi-finals next week. If they lose, they will then need the Griquas and WP to also lose without getting a bonus point which is a very unlikely situation.
The Cheetahs have no such concerns as they have already booked a home semi and can even top the log if they win and the Sharks lose. The Bulls have started to look good especially at home as they are have won three of their last four matches.
TIP: The home team rested a few regulars in the last match but still managed a comprehensive win over the Griffons. There will be plenty of emotion in this match as stalwart Morne Steyn plays his final home game in his career. The Cheetahs will be hoping that the Steyn farewell distracts the Bulls as they are still chasing the top spot. The bookies have the Bulls as favourites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.44, Gbets 1.46 and Hollywoodbets 1.47

PREDICTION
The home team have stacked their side with URC players since they were knocked out of that competition. The recalled senior players along with Captain Marcell Coetzee have certainly added much needed firepower to the team. The Cheetahs have adopted a more conservative game plan this season that involves more kicking which will suit the home side who have some excellent counter attackers like David Kriel and Stedman Gans. The evergreen Ruan Pienaar will again be the key man for the visitors and his battle with Embrose Papier could decide the match. I am predicting a Bulls win by 10 points.
