Scotland vs South Africa
Scotland will be looking to end a losing run of 14 years when they host the Springboks. The home side last tasted victory over the World Champions in 2010 and will feel that it is long overdue that they end the curse. The visitors have again gone against everything that was perceived as normal by selecting a 7-1 bench with Grant Williams the only backline replacement. Scotland have also gone against the grain by going for a 5-2 split and will be looking to counter the effect of the Springboks Bomb Squad. The visitors have gone with what can only be described as their second-string backline which indicates they will be looking to play a forwards-based game.
TIP: Scotland have lost the services of four try hero Darcy Graham as he has to undergo HIA protocols. His loss has been offset by the return of their talisman Finn Rusell and Blair Kinghorn. The latter takes the place of Graham on the wing while Tom Jordan starts in the fifteen jersey. The Springboks have made wholesale changes from their last Rugby Championship match with Siya Kolisi and Pieter Steph Du Toit coming off the bench in what is arguably the strongest ever replacements ever seen at international level. The bookies have South Africa as favorites and I am also backing them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Tictacbets 1.28, SoccerShop 1.28 and Bettabets 1.28.
HEAD-TO-HEAD STATS

PREDICTION
The selection by Rassie Erasmus suggests the Boks are going to play their more traditional brand of rugby with loads of kicking. There are few players that can play this type of game better than Handre Pollard. His battle with the expansive Finn Rusell could be one of the highlights of the match. If the visitors are to be beaten the Scottish pack of forwards will need to at least find parity in the set pieces. The biggest test will be how the home teams replacements face up to the likes of RG Snyman and Malcom Marx late in the game. The Bomb Squad will win the match for the Boks in the last quarter therefore I predict a win for the visitors by 10 points.
