13-11-2022 Daily Predictions International Rugby Scotland vs New Zealand

Scotland vs New Zealand

Scotland welcomes New Zealand to Murrayfield for this Autumn international. The home team will be looking to rewrite history as they seek their first win over NZ. The visitors on the other hand will be full of confidence coming into this match after they put in their best performance of the year last time out when they thrashed Wales 55-23. The catalyst in that victory was Aaron Smith although the official man of the match was Ardie Savea. The Scots will be glad that Smith is rested for this match.

TIP: The All Blacks have made a host of changes for this match as there is a completely new halfback pair of Beauden Barrett and Finlay Christie. It will be interesting to see how they fare against the recalled Finn Russell and Ali Price. The Scots have one of the best tens in the game and if Russell is allowed to pull the strings then we could be in for a very close match. The bookies have New Zealand as favourites and I am also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Worldsportsbetting 1.16, Playabets 1.14 and Sunbet 1.14

HEAD TO HEAD STATS

Scotland vs New Zealand

  • Scotland have never beaten the All Blacks in their history.
  • The last three New Zealand wins against Scotland have been by 8 points or less.

Latest results for both teams

Scotland won their last match 28-12 against Fiji in their last match while New Zealand won 55-23 against Wales in their last match.

PREDICTION

In a year in which the All Blacks suffered first ever home defeats to both Ireland and Argentina they will be hoping not to add a first ever loss to the Scots to that unwanted list. The home team on the other hand has been blowing hot and cold over the last few years but after their lacklustre display against Fiji last week, they are due a big game. If Russell can link up his backline then they are one of the back threes in Stuart Hogg, Darcy Graham and Duhan van der Merwe. It remains to be seen of all the changes in the NZ backline disrupts the cohesion and if the Scottish can an early score this match could come down to the wire. I am predicting a NZ win by three points.
