La Rochelle vs Leicester
Two-time defending champions La Rochelle welcome unbeaten Leicester in this Champions Cup encounter. The champions are holding onto their title by a thread after losing their opening two matches. They suffered a last-minute loss to the Stormers and before that lost their opening match to Leinster in a match marred by torrential rain. The visitors have no such problems as they have sitting joint top of the group on nine points. They have chosen to select a largely second string starting XV with the likes of World Cup winning Springboks Handre Pollard and Jasper Wiese on the bench.
TIP: The one key player that was missing for La Rochelle in both their defeats was Captain Gregory Alldritt. The great news for the champions is that their talisman is back for this match and they will want nothing other than a bonus point win to get their title defence back on target. Leicester will do well to overcome the expected early onslaught and if they are able to so this, then they could launch a challenge in the second half with their strong bench. The bookies have La Rochelle as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.11, Gbets 1.11 and Hollywoodbets 1.10

PREDICTION
This has been a strange season for La Rochelle as they have struggled in all competitions but they seem to be regaining their form at the right time. Leicester are also coming into some good form although their performances on the road have not always been great. The home team are a different beast when Alldritt is at the helm as he always gives them an excellent attacking platform with his dynamic carries. One of the highlights of the contest will be powerhouse centers Jonathan Danty and Solomone Kata going head to head. They are very similar type of players and can run through any defence. The desperation of champions will see them storm to a 20-point win.
