Rebels vs Chiefs
The Rebels will be desperate to end a run of three defeats when they play host to the Chiefs. The home side narrowly went down 26-22 to the Reds in their last match while the Chiefs hardly got out of first gear as they thrashed Moana 43-7. The result was all the more pleasing as they rested most of their big name players like Damian McKenzie. The bad news for the home side is that all the big guns are back for the visitors. The Rebels are at one stage set for a home playoff match but the three losses has derailed that hope.
TIP: The Rebels will be without Wallaby Taniela Tupou who has not recovered from the injury he picked up in the last match. They have struggled in the scrums in earlier matches and no doubt this will be an area that the Chiefs have targeted. The home side have to find a way to slow the ruck ball for the visitors otherwise the backline of the Chiefs will have a field day. The bookies have the Chiefs as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Tictacbets 1.12, SoccerShop 1.12 and Bettabets 1.12

PREDICTION
The Rebels will need to adopt a ball in hand approach as kicking the ball to the likes of Shaun Stevenson and Emoni Narawa is a recipe for disaster. The man that will hold the key for the visitors is McKenzie. If he can find space and link his dangerous backline then the Rebels will spend the match chasing shadows. The home sides backline are missing some key personnel which means that they could struggle on attack. Carter Gordon will have his work cut out trying to find a way past the resolute defence of the visitors. I am predicting a Chiefs win by more than 20 points.
