Scotland vs Italy
Scotland welcomes Italy to Murrayfield for this final round match in the Six Nations Championships. Both teams are playing for pride as they cannot affect the top two positions. Scotland started the competition with much hope of winning their inaugural title as they beat England and then Wales in the first two round but came unstuck with losses to France and Ireland. Italy also showed great promise early in the tournament and although they didn’t win a match, there was a major show of improvement. They saved their worst performance for the last match as they lost to a weak Welsh team, ensuring they will receive the Wooden Spoon once again.
TIP: Scotland will be missing two of their biggest stars in Stuart Hogg and Finn Russell who are both injured while Italy will be without their superstar Ange Capuozzo. The loss of Russell is massive for the home team as he is the heartbeat of this team in attack. It remains to be seen if replacement Blair Kinghorn can get his potent backline moving in attack. The bookies have Scotland as favourites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.12, Gbets 1.13 and Hollywoodbets 1.12

PREDICTION
Scotland and Italy have been the two most exciting teams to watch in the tournament as they are willing to run from anywhere on the field. The Italians had countless line breaks against the Welsh but poor finishing in the 22m area was their downfall. It will be interesting to see if the home side still adopt their ball in hand approach without their talisman Russell. The match will be decided in the forwards and the Scottish certainly have the advantage in this area especially at scrum time. If the Scottish backs get good ball then the likes of Duhan van der Merwe and Huw Jones can cut loose. I am predicting a Scottish win by 20 points.
