Georgia vs Portugal
Georgia take on Portugal in Toulouse in this second round match of Pool C. These two are the only teams in the group to have played one game. Georgia will be anxious to bounce back from their 35-15 mauling they received at the hands of a very ordinary Aussie side. Portugal lost their opener 28-8 to Wales but will be glad with they way their fought until they had their winger Pinto sent off.
The Lelos will be hugely disappointed that their much-vaunted forwards pack was brushed aside by the Wallabies. Os Lobos can expect a backlash of note from the Georgians who pride themselves on scrumming.
TIP: Portugal were in the contest for long periods against Wales but lacked the killer instinct to finish their excellent build up play. Georgia had similar problems in their match as they had numerous line breaks but either knocked on or fail to deliver the final pass. The main culprit in this regard was star fullback Davit Niniashvili and he will be looking to make amends in this match. The bookies have Georgia as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.14, Gbets 1.14 and Hollywoodbets 1.14

PREDICTION
The Lelos are famous for their scrum prowess with their front rowers playing at top clubs across Europe. They are sure to return to basics in this match, Portugal must be prepared for a barrage of scrums and lineout mauls. Os Lobos strength is their running game but in order to implement it, they will need a stable platform from their forward pack. Georgia will want nothing less than a bonus point win, especially with much tougher opposition like Wales and Fiji on the horizon. The overall experience and power of the Georgians makes me predict 20 points win for The Lelos.
