England U20 vs Ireland U20
Old foes England and Ireland meet as they kick of the action in a very difficult Group B. There have only ever been four countries that have won the Junior World Cup with England winning three and Ireland still looking for their first title. This year will represent Ireland’s best ever chance of capturing the title as the Southern Hemisphere teams are short of match practice and they won the Six Nations earlier this year. Ireland had a faultless record in the Six Nations, winning all five of their matches. England had a disappointing Six Nations, finishing fourth.
TIP: The junior England teams have struggled on the international stage in recent times after their golden period between 2013 and 2016 when they won their 3 titles. Ireland will be going into the tournament with a very similar looking team that played in the successful Six Nation campaign highlighted by their star player Sam Prendergast. The pivot has already been earmarked to take over the reins of the great Johnny Sexton in the future. The bookies have Ireland as favourites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.40., Gbets 1.41 and Hollywoodbets 1.40

PREDICTION
The Irish team has shown that their forward pack can match and over power any side they face but it is their backline that has looked electric thanks in the main to Prendergast. The youngster has found the perfect balance between kicking and running the ball. England will need to find parity at least in the forwards if they are to have any chance in the match. Their attack looked blunt in the Six Nations although they have speedy wingers but they ball never got out wide. Ireland seem to have the edge in most aspects therefore I predict the Green machine to win by more than 11 points.
