Wales vs Australia
In one of the most eagerly awaited matches, Wales take on Australia in this Pool C encounter. This pool has been thrown wide open after Fiji beat the Aussies. Eddie Jones gamble to leave experienced players like Michael Hooper and Quade Cooper at home and select a very young squad has backfired.
They now need to beat Wales or kiss their title ambitions good bye. The Dragons know that a win will all but seal their place in the knockout stages while a loss will leave them relying on other results and calculations on who got the best points differential.
TIP: The pressure is firmly on the Wallabies but if history is anything to go by, they are at their best when their backs are against the wall. They will again be without Captain Will Skelton and powerhouse prop Taniela Tupou. Wales will most likely go into the match with the same squad that did duty against Fiji. They looked lackluster and struggled for cohesion in their last match against Portugal. This was due to Warren Gatland making wholesale changes. The bookies have Australia as favorites but I’m tipping Wales for the upset win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 2.05, Gbets 2.05 and Hollywoodbets 2.05

PREDICTION
Australia have always played a high tempo, ball in hand game but they struggled to implement this against Fiji due to the rush defence. Young ten Carter Gordon could not adapt to this and was subsequently substituted just after half time. Wales on the other hand have one of the most experienced 10s in the game in Dan Biggar. He can be a tad bit temperamental but he certainly knows how to control the game. The lack of experience in the Wallabies team will be their downfall unless one of the elder statesman has a blinder. I am predicting Wales to win this match by 6 points.
