25-02-2023 Daily Predictions Super Rugby Western Force Vs Rebels

Force vs Rebels

The Force play host to the Rebels at the HBF Park in Perth for this opening round match in Super Rugby 2023.Both teams will be looking for an improvement on last season where they failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Force finished the season in 8th place while the visitors were a position below them. There have been plenty of changes to both squads during the off season and it is hoped the new recruits will bring about positive changes. In the last six matches between the sides the home team has only won once and the Force will be desperate to reverse that trend.

TIP: The Force have always played a possession based game and it is hoped that they can evolve their game this season as they have exciting players in their back three. The Rebels ended last season with some good performances and they will be hoping that they can start the season of with a win. They play their best rugby when they keep ball in hand, so it will be interesting to see how adventurous they are. The bookies have the Force as favourites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.47, Gbets 1.48 and Hollywoodbets 1.48

PREDICTION

One of the biggest signings for the Force has been the acquisition of Folau Fainga’a from the Brumbies and if he can replicate his try scoring record from his former club then the Force will be delighted. The one area they will definitely improve in is the driving maul as Fainga’a is among the best in the business at the back of the maul. The Rebels have also made a shrewd signing in Monty Ioane with the Italian international sure to trouble lots of defenders in the competition. The Force has the better balance between the backs and the forwards therefore I predict them to win by eight points.
