27-05-2023 Daily Predictions United Rugby Championship Stormers vs Munster

Stormers vs Munster

The Stormers and Munster clash in Cape Town for the United Rugby Championship crown. The home team and defending champions will be counting their lucky stars as Munster shocked Leinster to enable them to gain a home final for the second consecutive year. The visitors have had a two week break since their miraculous last minute victory over Leinster in the semifinal which has seen many of their injured players return to match fitness. The Stormers will be hoping its third time lucky for them as they have lost their previous two matches against their opponents in this match.

TIP: The Stormers will be delighted that their two experienced Springboks Deon Fourie and Marvin Orie have been declared fit for this match. It is no surprise that the two matches the Stormers have lost this season was when Fourie was injured. His battle at the breakdown with Peter O’Mahony will go a long way to deciding the winner in this contest. Both teams will be at full strength although the Stormers seem to have the better backline attack. The bookies have the Stormers as favourites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.50, Gbets 1.48 and Hollywoodbets 1.48

Stormers vs Munster

  • Munster have won the previous two meetings between the sides.

Latest results for both teams

The Stormers beat Connacht 43-25 in their last match while Munster beat Leinster 16-15 in their last match.

The Stormers will need to be at their very best as Munster have shown playing away from home is no problem for them as they beat Glasgow and Leinster on the road. The visitors have shown exceptional defence in those two matches, conceding only 20 points across the quarter and semi- finals. The Stormers will however provide a different proposition in attack as they have dangerous players across the park and are led superbly by arguably the player of the season, Mannie Libbok. If the playmaker is given time and space then the Stormers will retain their title. I am predicting a home win by more than 10 points.
