South Africa lost two of their three group matches but still progressed to the knock out round and beat NZ. Argentina will be kicking themselves for a poor start in their defeat as they trailed 21-0 at halftime to hosts France. They will need a much better start if they are to upset the Kiwis.
TIP: Argentina will be hoping to be fully fit for this encounter as their try scoring machines Marcus Moneta and Rodrigo Isgro were sorely missed. Moneta in particular has just recovered from a broken leg and it was clear he was still rusty. NZ have their own injury crisis but will desperate to see their veteran Scott Curry fit for the match. Both teams possess game breakers with Moses Leo and Leroy Carter the dangerman for NZ while the Pumas have Moneta and Luciano Gonzalez. The latter almost always requires more than 1 defender to bring him to ground which allows space for other players. The overall power and pace of the Pumas makes me predict an Argentina win by 4 points.
