The baby Boks will take on Fiji U20 in the opening match at the Cape Town Stadium. The home side will be looking for a massive improvement from last years tournament where they struggled to perform. Fiji gave a good account of themselves last year in what was their first ever U20 World Cup. The junior Springboks will be raring to go, having participated in the inaugural Rugby Championship earlier this season. They finished in second spot but looked good in most of their matches. The Fijians will be hoping that flyhalf Isaiah Ravula will be available for them as he is an excellent playmaker and goal kicker. They will need their halfbacks to ignite their dangerous backline that has both and power. The home side will be looking to their forwards to dominate and provide front foot ball for the likes of Philip-Albert van Niekerk and Ezekiel Ngobeni. If they can get Julius into the game in the midfield then the inside centre can spread the ball to speedy wingers Joel Leotlela and Litelihle Bester. I am predicting a South African victory by 18 points.
