Connacht resume their URC campaign with a tough encounter as they welcome the Bulls to Galway. The home side are currently 5^th spot with 18 points just a point behind the visitors. The Bulls however have a game in hand over their Irish opponents. Connacht will have to make do without their Irish national players as they on duty against the Wallabies. The Bulls may also be missing some of their Springboks but one player that definitely won’t be there will be Kurt-Lee Arendse. The flying winger is on a playing sabbatical in Japan but the Bulls are lucky to have able replacements in Devon Williams and Stravino Jacobs.

TIP: Any team missing the likes of Bundee Aki and Mack Hansen will struggle in their backline but Connacht do have a wealth of riches in these positions with Piers O’Conor and Cathal Forde covering in Aki’s absence. The Bulls will be looking to gain in the early advantage by dominating the home side up front, an area of the game they can sometimes have a weakness. South African teams tend to struggle in Galway especially if it rains, so the Bulls will be hoping for dry weather. Both teams have plenty of attacking threats across the park but it is the scrum halves in this match that pose the most threat. Both Embrose Papier and Ben Murphy are lightning quick and are not shy to snipe around the rucks. The defence will need to match these players as they are genuine try scoring threats. Connacht will need to find a way to at least gain parity in the forwards if they are to cause an upset. Conor Olivier will be tasked to take on the likes of Marcell Coetzee and Jannes Kirsten in the absence of Captain Cian Prendergast. The key in the match could be Josh Ioane, the former All Black has been instrumental in pulling the strings at ten. If he can get his dangerous backline into the game then I predict a home win by 5 points.
