05-04-2024 Daily Predictions Super Rugby Rebels Vs Drua

Rebels vs Drua

The Rebels welcome the Drua to Melbourne for this Super Rugby encounter. The home side scored an impressive 27-21 win over the Waratahs in the last match and will be looking to continue that form. The visitors have been the enigma in the competition as they have lost all their matches on the road but have looked unbeatable when they play at home. In all their away matches they have given up huge half time leads which has proved impossible to make up. The Rebels have also been poor in the first half of their matches until the last one which they ended up winning.

TIP: The Rebels are still without their main attacking weapon in Andrew Kellaway although they did manage to win without him in the last match. He is replaced by Nick Jooste who is more a reliable full back rather than a game changing one. The Drua have stuck largely to the same team that saw off the Force last time out. There is a start for their dynamic prop Mesake Doge who has recovered from his injury. His presence will cause an issue for the Rebels front row. The bookies have the Rebels as favorites and I’m also tipping them for the win. The best odds on this bet are as follows: Betway 1.70, Gbets 1.70 and Hollywoodbets 1.70

Rebels vs Drua

  • The Drua have won two of the three previous matches between the teams.
  • The home team on the day has won all three matches.

Latest results for both teams

The Rebels beat the Waratahs 27-21 in their last match while the Drua beat the Force 31-13 in their last match.

Both these teams love to throw the ball around so it should be an exciting affair. The Rebels will be to their pivot Carter Gordon can finally replicate the form that made him a Wallaby last season. His general attacking play and his goal kicking have been below par this season. The Drua on the other hand have unearthed one of the best young flyhalves in the competition in Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula. The youngster oozes confidence who can control a game with his kicking or running game. He is also the most accurate goal kicker in the competition. The Rebels at home will be too much for the Drua and I predict a home win by 8 points.
