Saturday’s horse racing action is available from Gauteng, with a nine-race program from the Turffontein Inside track. Racing begins at 12:05 and includes a competitive FM 94 Handicap event in Race 6. ROMAN’S REVENGE should win this race and is a banker for the exotics. However, he is short in the betting at 7/10. I think the value lies with the filly SIENNA RAE. With some luck, she can sneak into the placings.

CORAL BLAZE is having her first run since relocating from the Cape. If she settles in her new surroundings, she can run well. With the sex allowance, I think she can pose a threat to her male rivals.

WHERE’S THE PARTY has won her last two races, and the hat trick is on the cards. She has top form, is in a good space, and should go close.

GOLDEN ASPEN ran on well to finish third in her last start. She has a decent record over course and distance. With some luck, she can challenge for the win.

BARBARESCO is the class horse in this race and will take a power of beating. He has been racing against the best horses in the country during the KZN Champions Season. Back in home surroundings, I will be shocked if he does not win.

Race 9 – 1600m (MR 74 Handicap)
WHISPERS OF WAR stayed on at the finish last time. He takes a drop in class and is carded to race with 58.5kgs. He is a dark horse here and represents excellent EW value.
