Sunday’s horse racing action is available from KZN, with an eight-race program from the Greyville Turf track. Racing begins at 12:40 and includes a competitive FM 96 Handicap event in Race 6. YELLOW JACKET should have won by now, but she is still a maiden. She has decent form, and her last two starts have been good. From a pole draw, she is a leading contender.

DAPPER returns from a ten-week break, during which time he was gelded. He should run into the money if he has taken to the gelding and does not need this run.

GRAND OCCASION has good form lines and has been running well. She should have no issues with the rise to 2000m and will fight out the finish.

CATS PAJAMAS is the best-weighted runner and should take a power of beating. He won a Grade 2 last time and is a progressive three-year-old. I will be shocked if he does not finish in the top three.

Race 6 – 1200m (FM 96 Handicap)
RUSSIAN DOLL has good form and never runs a bad race. She races with a handy mass of 55.5kgs and can go close under the stewardship of Rachel Venniker.

Race 7 – 1900m (FM 80 Handicap)
PETIT VERDOT was her own worst enemy last time. With better luck in running, she should be competitive and fight out the finish.

Race 8 – 1600m (MR 73 Handicap)
PONGOLA hung at the finish in his last start, which cost him the win. He is in good form and should be a leading contender if kept in a straight line. He’s a nice EW bet at double digits, so let’s hope he closes our weekend with a win.
