Saturday’s horse racing action is available from Gauteng, with a nine-race program from the Turffontein Inside track. QUELLO CHE last few starts have been encouraging. If she can stay in a straight line and is not too far, she should run into the money.

ATARIME has won two of his last three starts and is in top form. He is carded to race with 59.5kgs and is a leading contender.

Race 4 – 2600m (Pinnacle Stakes)
This is a competitive Pinnacle, and based on weight turnarounds, EXPLOSIVE BOND should go close. She carries a handy mass of 50kgs, and I expect another good run.

Race 5 – 1200m (Graduation Plate)
BOSUM BUDDY is a progressive filly and has always run well. She is carded to race with 55.5kgs in this race and should fight out the finish.

Race 6 – 1450m (Grade 2)
CAPTAIN PEG is a classy mare and loves racing on this course. This is a very competitive race, but she has the ability to win. At 10/1, she represents excellent EW value.

Race 7 – 1450m (Grade 2)
MAIN DEFENDER is the best-weighted runner in this Grade 2 and should be the horse to beat. He is a progressive four-year-old and is being primed for bigger races during the Gauteng featured season.

Race 8 – 1200m (Graduation Plate)
HOTARUBI ideally prefers further but should run well based on his ability. As long as he is not too far back with 400m to go, he should run into the money at generous EW odds.

Race 9 – 1000m (MR 96 Handicap)
KARANGETANG should go close in the luck last. Carded to race with 56.5kgs, I will be surprised if he does not finish in the top three.
