Tuesday’s horse racing action is available from Gauteng, with a ten-race program from the Vaal Classic track. INSTANT ATTRACTION is on the up and should not be a maiden for too long. She carries a handy mass of 57.5kgs, and is one of the leading contenders in this race.

Race 3 – 1600m (Novice Handicap)
STREWN SKY last start was good and he should strip fitter now. Despite carrying top weight, from a pole draw, he is the horse to beat and is a banker in my PA.

Race 4 – 1475m (Non-Black Type)
The featured race of the day and the betting is wide open, with the favorite starting at 7/1. I suggest you load up in all exotics, as this is a massive field and their could be an upset. My tentative first selection is CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN. He has won his last three races and carries a handy mass of 55kgs. With Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should run well and be competitive in this big race.

Race 5 – 1475m (Non-Black Type)
I am surprised with the odds on WARHAWK BOMBER in this race. At 12/1 in the betting, he represents the EW value here. Rachel Venniker takes 1.5kgs off and carded to race with 55.5kgs, the gelding will be mowing them down at the finish.

Race 6 – 2400m (MR 72 Handicap)
DAMOVA is in a good space with two wins and two thirds in her last four races. She carries 56kgs, and can pose a strong challenge to her male rivals.

Race 7 – 1000m (MR 72 Handicap)
SAMOA is holding her form well and still has a zest for racing even at the ripe old age of ten. Carded to race with 55.5kgs, she should fight out the finish.

Race 8 – 1000m (FM 76 Handicap)
HEIRLOOM has fair form and has not finished too far back from the winners in her recent races. If she gets away to a fast start, she should be involved in the finish.

Race 9 – 1000m (FM 87 Handicap)
JUST THE TWO OF US looked like a winner in her last race but was pipped to the line by NETTLETON. With better luck in running, she should be the horse to beat in this sprint race.

Race 10 – 1450m (MR 74 Handicap)
AFTER HOURS did not run well last time, but I like him to bounce back now over 1450m. His last win three races back was over this trip, so he should have no issues. With some luck in running, he can close the day for us with some EW returns.
