Race 1 – 1000m (Maiden Plate)
Ponte Vecchio has been running well in her last few starts, and I expect her to challenge the males here. She carries 57.5kgs; if she gets luck running from her wide draw, she should run into the placings.

Queen Of Jazz has been costly to follow, but this race is primed for her to shed her maiden tag finally. She should have no issues beating this field if she runs on a straight line.

Walt Whitman will love the rise to the mile and should take a power of beating in this race. His rivals are below par, and if he runs anything like his last start, he should be a banker for all Pick 6’s.

Race 4 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
Elliorix should win this race but represents no value at 5/10. Instead, I searched for EW value and found Rain Bird. The filly has fair form and, with 58.5kgs, should run into the first three.

Race 5 – 1800m (Pinnacle Stakes)
Brendan James may not win this Pinnacle, but he should finish in the money. Ignore his last start, and his previous form is solid. He will need plenty to go his way to win, but he represents EW value.

Race 6 – 3200m (Gold Cup)
Battleground is a Gauteng raider who is in Fairview to win the featured Gold Cup race. He will have no distance with the 3200m, and if his travels went well, he should be the horse to beat. I think his price will drop by race time, so I love his value at the time of writing.
Suggested Bet – Battleground to win @ 22/10✅
Race 7 – 1400m (Conditional Plate)
I think there is some value in United Express running well if she is fit. She has won four in a row and had a four-month break. This is her first run after that break, and if she is fit, she is a lurker here to complete five wins on the bounce.

Race 8 – 1400m (MR 80 Handicap)
El Rey Viene is having her first run in new surroundings after relocating from KZN. She should love the track if her travel went well and she has settled in the Eastern Cape. She does carry a hefty mass, but her class could prevail. With a 16-runner field, we are getting five places for an EW bet, so have a good strike to build a decent kitty for the weekend racing betting.
