Monday’s horse racing action is available from the Western Cape, with a nine-race program from the Kenilworth Turf track. Racing begins at 12:25 and includes a competitive CAPE A Stakes event in Race 8. Below are our South African horse racing tips, predictions and suggested bets for the day’s racing. The Western Cape has seen plenty of rain and storms over the past two weeks. Trainers have mentioned that horses couldn’t work over the past two weeks, so betting is tricky.
Pictured above is an image from the Milnerton Training Facility. Several of the Western Cape trainers and their stables are based at Milnerton. As you can see, this image was taken on Friday (19 July), and the facility was flooded. Horses have been unable to work and train, and the fitness of the horses is a mystery.
