Horse Racing Today
Saturday’s horse racing action is available from the Western Cape, with a ten-race program from the Durbanville Turf track. Racing begins at 12:15 and includes two competitive Class B events. The Western Cape has seen plenty of rain and storms in July and early August. The weather and flooding were so bad that all race meetings at Kenilworth and Durbanville were abandoned for the entire month. Thankfully, racing resumed earlier this month (August 3rd). However, with additional rain, and the abandonment of the August 10th and 13th race meetings, the course is questionable, and betting is tricky.
I have decided not to suggest any bets, as I am not confident in tipping horses that are not fit. Also, the surface is unknown, and conditions are a mystery with all the rain. If racing goes ahead, I have suggested some horses to include in your bets. These horses enjoy running in soft, wet conditions, so include them in all your plays.
