LADYOFDISTINCTION was very green on debut but finished well in third place. She will have come on from that first effort and should make the natural improvement.

OUR LADY FATE ran well last time despite hanging in the final 300m. If she keeps on a straight line, she will be fighting out the finish. I expect another strong progressive run from the filly.

GRAND OCCASION has fair form and runs well for Rachel Venniker. Carded to race with 54.5kgs, she should be competitive in this field. With some luck, she can run into the top three.

Race 5 – 2400m (Middle Stakes)
It is a competitive Middle Stakes event, and I am taking on the males here with the only filly in the race. WOODLAND GLADE has top form with two wins in her last three races and is slung in at the weights. Carrying just 54kgs, she is a massive contender here.

Race 6 – 1400m (MR 68 Handicap)
This is a weak MR 68 race, so go wide in the exotics. KIMBALL O’HARA has decent form and won his last start in this company. Despite carrying 60.5kgs, he is in a good space and can run into the money.

Race 7 – 1200m (Conditional Graduation Plate)
USA’S HOPE has been disappointing, but he is a classy horse. On best form, he should win a race like this. I will have an EW bet and hope he can rediscover his form.

Race 8 – 1000m (FM 80 Handicap)
WAR EMPRESS won well last time against stronger horses in a MR 90 Handicap. She now takes a drop in class, runs in a MR 80 Handicap, and is a massive EW runner. Despite carrying 60.5kgs, she gets the services of Muzi Yeni, and the combination can win here. At worst, she should run into the placings for some EW returns. Let’s hope she does run a good race and gives us some nice EW returns to end the weekend.
