Race 1 – 800m (Maiden Juvenile Plate)
The opening race on the day is a maiden juvenile race (2-year olds). These babies are seeing a racing track for the first time. I have no suggested bets, as there are bigger and better races to come, so save your cash.

MAGMA MAGIC seems to prefer running at Scottsville than at Greyville. With some luck in running, the gelding should finish in the money in this field.

TAKATALVI should have finished closer last time but she hung at the 300m mark. If she runs in a straight line, she should have a say in the outcome of this race.

Race 4 – 1750m (Pinnacle Stakes)
CELTIC BEAUTY is having her peak run and is unbeaten over course and distance. She is taking on males, but carded to race with 55.5kgs, I think she can finish in the placings.

Race 5 – 1000m (FM 93 Handicap)
CAPTAIN’S CHRISTY was not disgraced when she ran in a Listed event in her last start. She took on higher MR horses in that race and if she runs anything like that race, she should be too good for her rivals here.

Race 6 – 1200m (Pinnacle Stakes)
STRATHCLYDE is a progressive gelding and could still be ahead of the handicapper. Carded to run with 54kgs, he should finish in the money.

Race 7 – 1400m (Non-Black Type)
WARRIOR ROYALE could still be anything as she is still developing and is progressive. She carries a handy mass of 53kgs in this event and should be competitive.

Race 8 – 1400m (FM 78 Handicap)
MISSISSIPPI SPICE won well last time and should strip fitter now. She is taking on stronger but could be open to more improvement. In the lucky last, at 12/1 in the betting, I am backing her to give us some EW returns.
