Race 1 – 1600m (Maiden Juvenile Plate)

Opening the card on Sunday is a tough race, and many of these runners have no form. Most runners have yet to see the mile, so distance is a concern. We are in the camp of Party Punch, who ran a decent race against older horses last time. Her last race was in a handicap against multiple winners. If she can reproduce that run, she should finish in the placings in this field.

Suggested Bet – Party Punch EW @ 7.5/1

Race 2 – 1160m (Juvenile Plate)

Gimmefabulous relocated to Gauteng and ran a decent race against stronger. She is back in a juvenile plate, and can run well. She should be used to her new surroundings, and with Richard Fourie on board, she is a leading contender.

Suggested Bet – Gimmefabulous EW @ 4.5/1

Race 3 – 1800m (Maiden Plate)

Tipperary should be a banker for many in the PA and should win at 7/10. However, that is too low to back so we searched for an EW bet. Whistledown’s last two starts have been good, and she should give the favourite a challenge.

Suggested Bet – Whistledown EW @ 5/1EW Win

Race 4 – 1800m (Maiden Plate)

Master Tik Tok is in decent form, and his last three starts have been fair. It feels like it won’t be long before he sheds his maiden tag. He runs well for Muzi Yeni and the combination can finish in the money again.

Suggested Bet – Master Tik Tok EW @ 5/1EW Place

Race 5 – 1100m (Classified Stakes)

Della’s Sword takes a rise in class in this sprint race. She carries a low weight of 50.5 kgs, so she should be competitive in this field. She has fair form, and if not too far back at the final 400m, she should run on well.

Suggested Bet – Della’s Sword EW @ 8/1EW Place

Race 6 – 1800m (MR 82 Handicap)

Celtic Rush is a decent four-year-old weighted to finish closer to the favourite, Pocket Watch. He should have no issues with the 1800m and can go close with jockey Dennis Schwarz.

Suggested Bet – Celtic Rush EW @ 5/1

Race 7 – 1160m (Pinnacle Stakes)

It is a competitive pinnacle, and many have chances to win based on weight. We looked past the batch of low-odds runners and found Anfields Rocket. A once MR 120, the four-year-old, has lost his three-year-old form. He is dropping in the rankings and returns to a sprint trip. Off 56kgs, he should be competitive again. He should be a dark horse in this race if he can rediscover his form from 18 months ago.

Suggested Bet – Anfields Rocket EW @ 18/1EW Place

Race 8 – 2400m (Middle Stakes)

Raiseahalellujah carries a hefty weight of 62kgs but should still run well. He has been running against strong opposition nationwide over the past few months. Now, back in home comforts, he should produce another decent effort. His last two starts have been good, and the booking of Richard Fourie is a plus.

Suggested Bet – Raiseahalellujah EW @ 5.55/1EW Win

Race 9 – 1400m (Classified Stakes)

Racing ends with a competitive classified stake, so stake wisely. Our selection is Viva De Janeiro, a four-year-old who has strong form lines. His last six finishes read (3,1,2,7,1,8), and you can see he has solid form. He had excuses in his two below-par finishes, as his jockey dropped the crop, and in his last start, he was not striding out. With luck in running, he should give us value for our money in the lucky last.

Suggested Bet – Viva De Janeiro EW @ 11/1EW Place
