Tuesday’s horse racing action is available from Gqeberha, with an eight-race program from the Fairview Poly track. Racing begins at 12:30 and includes two competitive Classified Stakes events. Fairview Poly Selections
Race 1 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
QUEEN OFTHE PALACE’S last start was good, and if she can confirm that run, she should take home a cheque. I think she can finish in the money with some luck in running.

Race 2 – 1300m (Maiden Plate)
HAT HOT HAT has good form lines and should leave the maidens soon. If he is not too far back at the 400m, he will be mowing them down at the finish.

Race 3 – 1900m (Maiden Plate)
MAYOR OF MERRIVALE has decent form and finished third in his last two runs. He is trying the 1900m, and if he sees out the trip, he should continue his fair form with a top-three finish.

Race 4 – 1600m (FM 70 Handicap)
RAISING QUINN carries a top weight of 61.5 kgs, but is the class horse in this field. She will need things to go her way with that top weight, but she has the form to be competitive. She loves racing over course and distance with two wins, one second and two thirds in six races. I expect another good run and some EW returns for our bet.

Race 5 – 1600m (Classified Stakes)
GODFATHER has produced two good runs since relocating from the Highveld and did not show in his next two races. However, he is carrying a low weight, and I think he can bounce back here. At 15/1, we can’t get hurt, so it is a small EW bet.

Race 6 – 1000m (MR 80 Handicap)
ANUSCHKA’S WORLD has his third run after gelding and should strip fitter. Carrying just 50.5kgs in a 1000m sprint, he can run well. If he gets away to a fast start, he can hang on at the finish for a place.

Race 7 – 1000m (FM 86 Handicap)
My best value bet of the day is in this race, and I could not believe the price on UNITED EXPRESS. Ignore her last run, as she needed that effort after a four-month break. Before that run, she won four in a row and can bounce back here. She prefers further, but in a sprint race, her class can prevail. At 7.5/1, her EW value is massive, and I suggest a decent bet.

Race 8 – 1200m (Classified Stakes)
CRUZADOR is not the stable elect but is the value runner in the race. He has good form, his last three starts have been decent. He will need luck to win against some of these rivals, but if not too far back, he will be mowing them down. At 10/1, he represents the EW value in the lucky last.
