AMAZING COLOURS holds the favourite on weight and loves racing at the course. On best form, she should have a big say in the outcome of this race and can run into the money.

Race 4 – 1900m (Open Maiden)
CRIMSON COMET is better weighted than ISLAND MASTER, but I still expect ISLAND MASTER to run well. The four-year-old has had good form since relocating from the Cape and should run well again.

Race 5 – 1900m (Pinnacle Stakes)
It is the featured race of the day, and despite carrying a top weight of 61kgs, the value lies with ZATARA MAGIC. At 6.5/1, we are getting the safety of an EW bet compared to the short 12/10 win on GLOBAL ALLY. In the nature of this race, I will happily back an MR 104 horse on an EW bet.

Race 6 – 2200m (MR 80 Handicap)
I could not believe the opening price on PUERTO PLATA here, and the 4/1 will not last long. The gelding has top form in the province and carries a low mass of 55kgs. He is the horse to beat with Richard Fourie in the saddle.
