Tuesday’s horse racing action is available from Gauteng, with a seven-race program from the Vaal Main track. The day’s racing kicks off at 12:50, and there are two competitive Class B events. MESSALINA has been running well and found one too good last time. In this big field, she should fight out the finish and represents the EW value in the opener.

Race 2 – 1000m (Maiden Plate)
ALESIAN BEAU is better than his last effort. I am willing to forgive him for that run, as he raced green. If he produces anything like his second race run, he is the horse to beat.

Race 3 – 1400m (MR 96 Handicap)
FULLY LOADED showed signs of a form return last time. Carded to race with 54.5kgs, the gelding represents the EW value here. I suggest a nice EW bet.

Race 4 – 1800m (FM 89 Handicap)
I AM REGAL is much better than her last start. She won two of her three races before that poor effort. She should not be 17/1 in the betting, and I expect a strong bounce back.

Race 5 – 1800m (FM 70 Handicap)
SNEAK PREVIEW challenged strongly last time and that form line has been franked. I think the filly is a lively runner here and I will be disappointed if she runs out of the money.
Suggested Bet – SNEAK PREVIEW EW @ 5.5/1
Race 6 – 1200m (FM 80 Handicap)
FRANCILIEN comes into this race carrying a big mass of 62kgs. Still, I think she could be ahead of the handicapper. She is lightly raced and on her current form, the horse to beat.
Suggested Bet – FRANCILIEN EW @ 4/1
Race 7 – 1200m (MR 72 Handicap)
TWICE AS WILD finished third three days ago. If this race has not come too soon, I think the mare can challenge her male counterparts. At 13/1 in the betting, I suggest a small EW bet to close of the card and 2024.
