Tuesday’s horse racing action is available from the Western Cape, with a nine-race program from the Kenilworth track. Racing begins at 12:15 and includes a Class 4 F&M event in Race 8. Fleur De Ville’s last three starts with the blinkers have been decent. She meets the right field to shed her maiden tag and can go close with 57kgs.

It is an open maiden race, so weight will play a role in determining the winner and placings. Palace Gift showed massive improvement in his last start, and I believe if he can reproduce and confirm that run, he will be a lively runner here.

Race 5 – 1800m (Maiden Plate)
English Mistress is a consistent maiden who runs well but always finds one better. She runs off 56.5kgs and can give the males a challenge.

Fly To Rio finished 2.75 lengths behind Gold Index but is 2.5kgs better at the weights. Based on that weight turnaround, I expect her to finish ahead of the favourite and run into the money.

Wylie Jack has decent form and stayed on in the finish over 1100m in his last start. He has finished in the money in each of his last five races and can go close again. Both of his career wins have come over this course and distance. It is the lucky last and I think he can send us home with some money.
