Cheetahs vs Boland: Home team (-9.5 handicap)1.90 odds
Tip 1: Cheetahs to win by more than 10 points
Reason for the tip: The Cheetahs take on the Boland Kavaliers in what should prove to be a thrilling encounter, the Cheetahs fielding an experienced team in their starting XV. Faf de Klerk will partner Tiaan Swanepoel in the halfback pairing with Clayton Blommetjies providing control from fullback. In the forward pack, captain Neels Volschenck is supported by Ramon Uys and Sisonke Vumazonke, providing ball carriers to the Cheetahs. With a number of experienced players spread around the pitch with an able bench, the Cheetahs will aim to gain control of possession and dictate the pace from the start.
The Boland Kavaliers come into the match with a solid side that could give their opponents headaches. With Godlen Masimla and Ashlon Davids leading the attack, the creative abilities of Chris Smit and Lunathi Nxele will be key for Boland. In the loose forwards, Sibusiso Sangweni, Kwanda Dimaza and Gift Dlamini provide strength in the loose forwards, while Domenic Smit brings solid experience at fullback. While Boland have good depth off the bench, winning on the road against the Cheetahs would be very tough indeed therefore I am predicting a home win by more than 10 points.

Rugby Handicap Betting

Handicap Betting Tips for Today
York vs Leeds: Home team(+16.5 handicap)1.87 odds
York Knights welcome Betfred Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos to the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday, with the visitors arriving after an outstanding campaign. Leeds have lost just five league games this season and have scored almost 900 points across 23 rounds. Brad Arthur’s side remain strong favourites to reach the Grand Final, despite last week’s 20-16 defeat to Leigh Leopards. The Rhinos have already beaten York 46-14 this season, with Maika Sivo scoring twice in that encounter. Leeds also possess some of the competition’s leading performers, including Brodie Croft and Jake Connor.
York come into the game needing a response after last week’s 30-10 defeat away to Warrington. The Knights currently sit 11th and, with only four rounds remaining, are still looking over their shoulders as the battle near the bottom of the table becomes increasingly tight. History also favours Leeds, with York’s last home victory over the Rhinos coming way back in January 1975. This will be Leeds’ first competitive visit to the LNER Community Stadium, and York face a huge challenge against the league leaders. Given Leeds’ attacking strength and consistency this season, the visitors should have enough quality to secure another victory but I am back the home side to cover the +16.5 handicap.

Understanding Rugby Betting
It is crucial that players understand the different types of rugby betting. If a player places a wager on a handicap bet with fully understanding it, he could think they won the bet but instead they lost the bet as they did not understand how it works. Our rugby predictions will give you the option of the three way bet or the handicap betting as our previews will focus on this.
Different types of Rugby bets
Match Winner
The most self-explanatory of bets to take on a rugby match. This is the most common and oldest type of rugby bet in which you select Team A or Team B to win. The odds on this type of bet may be low especially if your team is the favourite.
Draw No Bet
The draw is quite rare in Rugby Union, but it does happen from time to time. If you’re worried about the draw messing up your bet then take a Draw No Bet market. Your bet will be refunded if the match result ends in a draw.
Handicap Betting
The most popular bets on rugby are handicap bets. This is often where some of the best value is to be found. The handicap is an advantage that bookmakers give one team to make the game more balanced. The team given the positive handicap can win, draw or lose the game by less than the handicap to cover the bet and win. The team with the negative handicap must win the match by more than the points set out in the handicap to win their bet.
Total points over/under
The over/under betting market involves predicting whether the total number of points scored in a match will be above or lower than a certain predetermined number. For instance, if you bet on the over/under 50 points market and you bet on under, the combined score of the two teams shouldn’t exceed 50.
First Try Scorer
Rugby fans know the excitement that comes when a player breaks through the defence to score the first try. Betting on the first-try scorer is about predicting which player from either team will cross the try line first. This bet type carries higher odds as it’s challenging to predict, making potential payouts more lucrative.
Anytime Try Scorer
Less specific than the first-try scorer bet, the anytime try scorer wager involves picking a player you believe will score a try at any point during the match. The odds are typically lower than for the first-try scorer but offer a better chance of a payout.
