South Africa vs Argentina
The Rugby Championship enters round 2 and we having the Springboks facing Argentina in a rematch. The home team was too strong for Pumas and easily beat them by 20 points first time round. The worrying aspect from the Pumas side is that they didn’t score a single try while conceding three. They played against a weakened Springbok team so this match could get ugly as a near full strength home team has been selected. The Pumas will look to their formidable loose trio to get them over the advantage line. They looked rusty and lackluster in their last match and hopefully they will pose more of a challenge to the South Africans. The Springboks will want nothing less than another bonus point victory. The return of Handré Pollard should provide fluency to the attack and his combination with Cobus Reinach will provide the fireworks. The Pumas need more to their attack to trouble the excellent Springbok defence.
TIP: We have seen that the Pumas are great at keeping the ball alive with their off-loading game but against a resolute defence they had no answers. They will once again look to their talisman Nicolás Sánchez to spark their attack while their forward pack will need to find a way to stand up to the Boks pack. They were found wanting in the scrum and in the second half the Boks power game simply destroyed them. The bad news for the Pumas is that this side is a lot stronger than the side they faced last week. The scrums will again be targeted by the home side as the Pumas are weak in this area. The other weapon the Boks will unleash on them is the rolling maul. When the maul fires the Boks are unstoppable and the Pumas need a way to nullify this. The bookies have the Boks as favourites and I’m also tipping them for a comfortable victory. The best odds on this best are as follows: Worldsportsbetting 1.16, Playabets 1.14 and Sunbet 1.16

There is always talk of the Springboks playing boring rugby . It doesn’t bother the Boks as long as they keep winning but this could see the home team unleash their potent backline. South Africa possesses arguably the best centre partnership in world rugby and they have two of the best finishers in Makazole Mapimpi and Cheslin Kolbe. These two players are brilliant as they are pacy and have great side steps. Kolbe in particular is a nightmare for opposition defenders. In order for Pollard to ignite the backline the hard work must be done by the forwards. The Springbok pack will want to impose themselves on the Pumas early in the contest so that the backs get good ball to attack with. The overall strength of this Springbok team makes me predict a comfortable victory by more than 15 points

Predictions and Odds in details
The Boks will miss their enforcer Eben Etzebeth in this game but they still have an extremely strong XV on the park. They will look to be more attacking while the Pumas will try and find fluency in their game. If the Pumas can rediscover their attacking game then this could be a close contest but the Springbok defence is so strong that I feel they will struggle again. The other major difference between the sides is their reserves. The Boks pulled away last week when they brought their bench on and I expect that to happen again in this match. The likes of Kolbe and Willie Le Roux and be deadly in the second half when the Puma defence starts to get tired. There are poor returns for punters on the Boks outright victory therefore I suggest the Springboks on the handicap victory. Sports crazy fan that follows all major sport but the game with the oval ball is my real passion. Was an age level rugby coach and a huge supporter of the Springboks and diehard Liverpool man. I’m an experienced punter and sports writer whose predictions/tips are sure to stir up the emotions. I love the occasional wager on the underdog.
