1X2 Tips For Rugby Fixtures Today

Bath(WIN) 1.34 odds vs Exeter Chiefs

Tip 1: Bath to win

Reason for the tip: The PREM semi-finals continue at The Rec as Bath host Exeter Chiefs with a place in the final at Twickenham on the line. The home side have been one of the standout teams throughout the season and will start as favourites on home soil but Exeter arrive determined to upset the odds and extend their campaign. Bath have been dealt a significant blow with star fly-half Finn Russell ruled out through injury. However, they still possess plenty of quality across the park. Captain Ben Spencer will take on greater responsibility in directing the attack while Santi Carreras steps into the playmaking role. The hosts also boast a powerful pack led by Thomas du Toit, Sam Underhill, and Alfie Barbeary while the backline features dangerous runners in Ollie Lawrence, Joe Cokanasiga, and Henry Arundell.

Exeter will look to their experienced midfield pairing of Henry Slade and Len Ikitau to provide attacking spark. Captain Dafydd Jenkins leads a hardworking forward pack, while Greg Fisilau and Christ Tshiunza will be crucial in matching Bath’s physicality at the breakdown. The Chiefs also possess plenty of pace out wide through Paul Brown-Bampoe and Campbell Ridl. In knockout rugby the game is usually decided by the forwards and Bath have the edge in this department therefore I predict a home win.

Pau(WIN) 1.45 odds vs Racing 92

Tip 2: Pau to win

Reason for the tip:The TOP 14 quarter-finals promise high drama as Section Paloise host Racing 92 in a winner-takes-all clash with a place in the semi-finals at stake. Both sides have enjoyed strong campaigns and know that one outstanding performance could move them a step closer to the French championship. Pau will look to make home advantage count, with captain Beka Gorgadze leading a powerful pack that includes experienced internationals Ignacio Montoya and Guram Kaulashvili. Behind the scrum, Dan Robson and Joe Simmonds provide control and creativity while the exciting backline featuring Emilien Gailleton, Théo Attissogbe and Jack Maddocks has the pace and attacking flair to trouble any defence.

Racing 92 arrive with plenty of firepower of their own. The experienced Romain Taofifenua takes charge of the pack while Demba Bamba and Janick Tarrit will be key figures up front. The Parisian side possess dangerous attacking threats throughout the backline, including Vinaya Habosi, Josua Tuisova and Gaël Fickou who could make a major impact from the bench. The battle at the breakdown between Gorgadze, Jordan Joseph and Wame Naituvi could prove decisive, while both teams have the quality to punish mistakes in open play. I am backing Pau to come away with the win on their home patch.

New Zealand Warriors(WIN) 1.47 odds vs Cronulla Sharks

Tip 3: New Zealand Warriors win

Reason for the tip: New Zealand Warriors are set to take on Cronulla Sharks on Saturday, as both sides battle to get higher up the table in a captivating match. Some major changes in terms of the line-ups are going to take place for the home side, as Taine Tuaupiki plays at fullback and Te Maire Martin forms a half-back combination with Chanel Harris-Tavita. Wayde Egan will play a vital role for his team in terms of dictating the pace of the game while Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Alofiana Khan-Pereira will form a very dangerous back-three combination in their team. The frontline of Warriors consists of Jackson Ford, Marata Niukore and Erin Clark.

Cronulla Sharks boast a solid spine consisting of William Kennedy, Braydon Trindall and Cameron McInnes. Their backline includes some very good ball-runners like Ronaldo Mulitalo, Jesse Ramien and KL Iro. Home support could prove a major factor for the Warriors, but Cronulla’s experience and attacking depth make them a dangerous opponent. The battle between the two forward packs will likely determine field position and possession.  I am expecting this match to go down to the wire with the Warriors winning it at the death.

Catalan Dragons(WIN) 1.34 odds vs Castleford Tigers

Tip 4: Catalan Dragons to win

Reason for the tip:The Catalans Dragons come into this Super League match against Castleford Tigers with a chance to solidify their standing in the table. Catalans have recently shown some encouraging signs of progression and now will need to use this momentum in front of their home crowd against a Castleford side seeking stability. There is abundant experience within the ranks of the host with the likes of star fullback Tommy Makinson as well Luke Keary’s partner at halfback in Theo Fages. However, with players such as Jordan Abdull and Reimis Smith still guiding Catalans Dragons, the forwards in the form of Tevita Pangai Junior, Chris Satae and Paul Seguier will need to build on this by dominating possession and field position.

Castleford Tigers will take a rather inexperienced group into battle, however, this group has displayed some promising signs of late. The likes of Zac Cini, Jason Qareqare and Innes Senior should all prove to be attacking options for Castleford Tigers, alongside George Lawler and Liam Horne leading their side through the middle. The French side are very difficult to beat on their home patch therefore I am backing them to come away with the win.

Rugby Handicap Betting

Handicap Betting Tips for Today

Hurricanes vs Blues:Home team(-18.5)1.91 odds

Reason for tip: The second Super Rugby semifinal clash is an exciting New Zealand derby match between the Hurricanes and the Blues. This is likely to be another exciting encounter, as both sides look to reach the final. The Hurricanes have had one of the most impressive seasons in the tournament. This will mean that the spine of Cam Roigard, Ruben Love, Jordie Barrett, and Billy Proctor will hold the key. They are ably supported by the forwards in Du’Plessis Kirifi, Peter Lakai and Asafo Aumua, who can be very dangerous.

The Blues are no slouches either. This is due to Beauden Barrett who knows how to handle his business in the big games. Caleb Clarke and AJ Lam are fast wingers who can be deadly in space. Up front, the captain Patrick Tuipulotu, together with Hoskins Sotutu, head up a powerful and set-play effective pack. It all boils down to whether the Hurricanes can play an attacking game of rugby or not. I believe the Hurricanes will beat their opposition and cover the -18.5 point handicap.

Hull vs Huddersfield: Home team(-11.5)1.87 odds

Reason for tip: Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants meet in a crucial Super League clash with both teams desperate to halt poor runs of form and build momentum for the second half of the season. With both sides sitting near the bottom of the table, this fixture could prove pivotal in their fight to climb away from danger. Hull will take confidence from playing at home and from the presence of experienced campaigners such as Aidan Sezer, John Asiata, Jordan Rapana and Herman Ese’ese. Sezer’s kicking game and game management will be key as Hull look to improve an attack that has struggled for points in recent weeks. The powerful Ese’ese and Liam Knight will be expected to set the platform through the middle.

Huddersfield are searching for a much-needed victory after a difficult campaign. The Giants will look to experienced players such as Tui Lolohea, Adam Clune and Jake Connor to provide attacking spark, while England international Matty English remains a key figure in the forward pack. Zac Woolford’s influence from dummy-half could also be crucial in generating quick ball around the ruck. I am backing Hull for the win and to cover the -11.5 handicap.

Understanding Rugby Betting

It is crucial that players understand the different types of rugby betting. If a player places a wager on a handicap bet with fully understanding it, he could think they won the bet but instead they lost the bet as they did not understand how it works. Our rugby predictions will give you the option of the three way bet or the handicap betting as our previews will focus on this.

Different types of Rugby bets

Match Winner

The most self-explanatory of bets to take on a rugby match. This is the most common and oldest type of rugby bet in which you select Team A or Team B to win. The odds on this type of bet may be low especially if your team is the favourite.

Draw No Bet

The draw is quite rare in Rugby Union, but it does happen from time to time. If you’re worried about the draw messing up your bet then take a Draw No Bet market. Your bet will be refunded if the match result ends in a draw.

Handicap Betting

The most popular bets on rugby are handicap bets. This is often where some of the best value is to be found. The handicap is an advantage that bookmakers give one team to make the game more balanced. The team given the positive handicap can win, draw or lose the game by less than the handicap to cover the bet and win. The team with the negative handicap must win the match by more than the points set out in the handicap to win their bet.

Total points over/under

The over/under betting market involves predicting whether the total number of points scored in a match will be above or lower than a certain predetermined number. For instance, if you bet on the over/under 50 points market and you bet on under, the combined score of the two teams shouldn’t exceed 50.

First Try Scorer

Rugby fans know the excitement that comes when a player breaks through the defence to score the first try. Betting on the first-try scorer is about predicting which player from either team will cross the try line first. This bet type carries higher odds as it’s challenging to predict, making potential payouts more lucrative.

Anytime Try Scorer

Less specific than the first-try scorer bet, the anytime try scorer wager involves picking a player you believe will score a try at any point during the match. The odds are typically lower than for the first-try scorer but offer a better chance of a payout.
