1X2 Tips For Rugby Fixtures Today

Bulls(WIN) 1.20 odds vs Munster

Tip 1: Bulls to win

Reason for the tip: All eyes will be on Pretoria as Bulls host Munster in a massive URC quarter-final clash with a place in the semi-finals on the line. The home side have named a star-studded lineup packed with Springbok experience. The return of Handre Pollard at flyhalf adds composure and tactical control while the electric back three of Willie le Roux, Kurt-Lee Arendse and Canan Moodie gives the hosts genuine attacking firepower. Up front, captain Marcell Coetzee leads a physical pack that will look to dominate the collisions. It’s the scrum that the Bulls will look to dominate the visitors as their front row has shown weakness throughout the season.

Munster arrive in Pretoria with valuable playoff experience but face a difficult challenge away from home. The Irish side will be without influential stars Tadhg Beirne and Jack Crowley, two major absentees for such an important knockout encounter. Leadership responsibilities instead fall to scrumhalf Craig Casey, while players like JJ Hanrahan, Tom Ahern and John Hodnett will need big performances to keep Munster competitive. This match will be decided in the forwards and this is an area the Bulls have the distinct advantage therefore I am backing them for the win.

Chiefs(WIN)1.51 odds vs Blues

Tip 2: Chiefs to win

Reason for the tip:.In the match of the round, the Chiefs and Blues meet in a high-stakes Super Rugby Pacific clash despite both sides already securing their places in the playoffs. While qualification is confirmed, there is still plenty riding on this encounter for the Blues, who need a victory to secure a valuable home playoff. That added pressure should ensure the visitors arrive with plenty of intensity despite rotating parts of their squad. The home side have named an exciting lineup captained by rising star Wallace Sititi. The hosts still possess dangerous attacking threats through Cortez Ratima, Josh Jacomb and powerful winger Kyren Taumoefolau. Up front, Josh Lord and Samipeni Finau provide physicality and work rate.

The Blues have named a side with plenty of experience and flair of their own. Dynamic winger Caleb Clarke remains a major attacking weapon while Stephen Perofeta will direct play at flyhalf. The worrying part is that the reserve ten is Corey Evans who hasn’t played a game this season. Captain Anton Segner leads a pack that also includes the influential Sam Darry. The bench adds further impact with stars such as Hoskins Sotutu and Finlay Christie ready to enter the contest. Despite the Chiefs resting a few regulars, I am still backing them for the win.

Stormers(WIN) 1.18 odds vs Cardiff

Tip 3: Stormers to win

Reason for the tip: Stormers and Cardiff renew their rivalry in this URC quarter-final with the hosts eager for revenge after suffering a surprise defeat to Cardiff during the league phase just a few weeks ago. That loss could be the catalyst for the Stormers, who now have an opportunity to respond on the biggest stage with a semi-final place at stake. Playing at home in Cape Town, the South Africans will be determined to produce a far more clinical performance compared to their loss in Wales.

The Stormers have selected a dangerous lineup packed with Springbok talent. Damian Willemse returns at fullback alongside explosive wings Seabelo Senatla and Leolin Zas. Much of the spotlight will also fall on rising star Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, whose creativity at flyhalf could prove decisive. Up front, Evan Roos and Ben-Jason Dixon lead a powerful pack captained by centre Ruhan Nel. Cardiff, however, have already shown they can trouble the Stormers. Players like Josh Adams, Ben Thomas and dynamic loose forward Taine Basham will believe another upset is possible. The home side are a different beast at home and I am backing them to come away with the victory.

Kobe Steelers(WIN)1.25 odds vs Suntory Sungoliath

Tip 4: Kobe Steelers to win

Reason for the tip:A mouthwatering semi final awaits us in the Japan League One as the Kobelco Kobe Steelers take on Tokyo Sungoliath in a clash packed with international stars and attacking firepower. Kobe enter the knockout encounter led by world-class All Black Ardie Savea and veteran lock Brodie Retallick who captains the side. The Steelers also boast major experience in the backline through Anton Lienert-Brown, while flyhalf Seungsin Lee will be crucial in controlling territory and tempo.

Tokyo Sungoliath also has a star-studded lineup, boasting stars from all over the globe. The dangerous outside backs pairing of Cheslin Kolbe and Kotaro Matsushima gives Sungoliath genuine game-breaking ability, while former All Blacks loose forward Sean McMahon adds physicality at the breakdown. Captain Yutaka Nagare will direct play from scrumhalf with Kaleb Trask steering the attack at flyhalf. The benches could also prove decisive with Sungoliath able to call upon legendary former All Blacks captain Sam Cane while Kobe have experienced playmaker Bryn Gatland ready to make an impact.  The pace and power of the Steelers has been amazing all season therefore I am backing them for the win.

Rugby Handicap Betting

Handicap Betting Tips for Today

Leinster vs Lions:Home team(-18.5)1.87 odds

Reason for tip:Defending champions Leinster head into this URC quarter-final under major pressure as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of losing the recent European Rugby Champions Cup Final to Bordeaux Bègles. After falling short in Europe once again, Leinster will be desperate to keep their season alive and avoid another painful playoff exit. The Irish giants have responded by naming a powerful lineup packed with international stars. Rieko Ioane partners Jamie Osborne in midfield, while dangerous attackers Hugo Keenan and James Lowe provide plenty of attacking threat. Captain Caelan Doris leads a formidable pack alongside Tadhg Furlong, Dan Sheehan and Joe McCarthy.

Lions have the most difficult of tasks as they hope to upset the champions at the AVIVA.  They will also be without two influential players in scrumhalf Morne van den Berg and dynamic loose forward Ruan Venter. Their absences are significant against a Leinster side determined to respond strongly after European heartbreak. The visitors still possess exciting talent through Quan Horn, Henco van Wyk and captain Francke Horn who will need outstanding performances if the visitors are to threaten an upset in Dublin. I am backing Leinster for the win and also for them to cover the -18.5 handicap.

Saracens vs Harlequins: Home team(-20.5)1.87 odds

Reason for tip:  Western Force and Fijian Drua head int this Super Rugby Pacific encounter knowing that anything less than a bonus-point victory will almost certainly end their playoff hopes. Even with a win, both sides still need several other results to fall their way.  The Force will look to use home advantage and their experienced team to control the game early. Captain Jeremy Williams leads a hard-working forward pack featuring the competition’s leading tackler Carlo Tizzano while Max Burey and Nathan Hastie will aim to dictate territory and tempo. Dangerous outside backs Dylan Pietsch and Zac Lomax give the Force plenty of strike power and aerial ability while the inclusion of Kurtley Beale off the bench could provide a late attacking spark.

The Drua remain one of the most dangerous attacking teams in the competition but have struggled to fire up their potent backline. They will need Virimi Vakatawa’s power in midfield and the finishing ability of Taniela Rakuro and Manasa Mataele to get them over the tryline. Captain Temo Mayanavanua will need a huge performance up front to help the Drua match the Force physically. Since the Force need as many tries as possible this could work in their favour as they can lose the shackles and play running rugby. I am backing them to win and cover the -11.5 handicap.

Understanding Rugby Betting

It is crucial that players understand the different types of rugby betting. If a player places a wager on a handicap bet with fully understanding it, he could think they won the bet but instead they lost the bet as they did not understand how it works. Our rugby predictions will give you the option of the three way bet or the handicap betting as our previews will focus on this.

Different types of Rugby bets

Match Winner

The most self-explanatory of bets to take on a rugby match. This is the most common and oldest type of rugby bet in which you select Team A or Team B to win. The odds on this type of bet may be low especially if your team is the favourite.

Draw No Bet

The draw is quite rare in Rugby Union, but it does happen from time to time. If you’re worried about the draw messing up your bet then take a Draw No Bet market. Your bet will be refunded if the match result ends in a draw.

Handicap Betting

The most popular bets on rugby are handicap bets. This is often where some of the best value is to be found. The handicap is an advantage that bookmakers give one team to make the game more balanced. The team given the positive handicap can win, draw or lose the game by less than the handicap to cover the bet and win. The team with the negative handicap must win the match by more than the points set out in the handicap to win their bet.

Total points over/under

The over/under betting market involves predicting whether the total number of points scored in a match will be above or lower than a certain predetermined number. For instance, if you bet on the over/under 50 points market and you bet on under, the combined score of the two teams shouldn’t exceed 50.

First Try Scorer

Rugby fans know the excitement that comes when a player breaks through the defence to score the first try. Betting on the first-try scorer is about predicting which player from either team will cross the try line first. This bet type carries higher odds as it’s challenging to predict, making potential payouts more lucrative.

Anytime Try Scorer

Less specific than the first-try scorer bet, the anytime try scorer wager involves picking a player you believe will score a try at any point during the match. The odds are typically lower than for the first-try scorer but offer a better chance of a payout.
