Friday’s horse racing action is available from Gqeberha, with an eight-race program from the Fairview Poly track. Racing begins at 12:30 and includes a competitive Founders Trophy event in Race 7. Below are our South African horse racing tips and suggested bets for the day’s racing. Race 1 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
MILLION REASONS has been running well and the blinkers have had the desired effect. She gets 2.5kgs from her male rivals, and with some luck in running, she should run into the money.

AMAZING COLOURS has been racing against much stronger, and should have no issues in this company. Carded to race with 54kgs, she is my banker for the Bipot and PA.

Race 3 – 2200m (Open Maiden)
FIRE FESTIVAL last start was good with the blinkers. She carries a low mass in this open maiden race, and on best form, should fight out the finish.

Race 4 – 1600m (Open Maiden)
EXTRACTION had excuses in her last start and should run well. Before that run, she had good form. This is her second run after a rest, and if she runs to her usual standard, she is a dark horse in this open maiden race.

Race 5 – 1000m (Pinnacle Stakes)
THREE ROCKS is slung in at the weights and should bounce back to winning ways. If she produces her best form, she will be too good for this field.

Race 6 – 1200m (MR 90 Handicap)
WHATEVER NEXT is weighted to finish closer to the favourite USA’S HOPE. I expect these two to fill out the exacta, and I rather take the EW value on WHATEVER NEXT.

Race 7 – 1600m (Founders Trophy – Non-Black Type)
EAST COAST is having his first run in his new home. If his settled in his new surroundings and takes to the Poly, he is a lively contender in the featured race on the card. At 6/1 in the betting, he represents nice EW value.

Race 8 – 1600m (MR 66 Handicap)
ARIVIDICIO showed signs of a form return last time and I am backing him to confirm that run. The form line from that race has been franked and with 56kgs, his a nice outsider to back. I hope he can run a good race and give us some EW returns ahead of the weekend’s racing.
