Friday’s horse racing action is available from Gqeberha, with an eight-race program from the Fairview Poly track. Racing begins at 12:30 and includes a competitive Non-Black Type event in Race 7. Race 1 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
MILLION REASONS has been a narrow loser in her last two races. She looks like she is ready to shed her maiden tag and I am backing her to go one better and finally win.

Race 2 – 1600m (Maiden Plate)
OH MANDY produced a good debut run in her new home. She should be settled now and should come on from that effort. From a pole draw, she is a leading contender.

Race 3 – 1200m (FM 82 Handicap)
KABON KAPI has reeled off a hat trick of wins and is in fine form. She gets the services of the appie and carries 59kgs. She does have a wide draw to overcome, but with some luck, she can run into the money.

Race 4 – 1200m (MR 66 Handicap)
LAZY GUY makes his local debut in this race. He had fair form in KZN and if he can run anything like those races, he should be competitive against these runners. A small EW bet on the seven-year-old.
Suggested Bet – LAZY GUY EW @ 16/1✅ EW PLACE
Race 5 – 1000m (MR 80 Handicap)
PURPLE OPERATOR has run one good race and followed that with a poor showing ever since moving to Gqeberha. If that form continues, his due a good effort here. I will take my chances that he runs to that form and finishes in the money.

Race 6 – 1400m (MR 80 Handicap)
CHEEKY LADDIE has gone off the boil and has since relocated from the Western Cape. He has his first run in Fairview, and on best form he should be competitive against these runners. I am taking a risk and bankering him in my PA.

Race 7 – 1900m (Non-Black Type)
EAST COAST ran a cracker on his local debut when finishing second. I am not disrespecting these Fairview runners but based on the Highveld form, EAST COAST and BINGWA should fill out the exacta. I am backing the younger horse to find the winners box.

Race 8 – 1900m (Maiden Plate)
MADEIRA CLIFFS ran a good third on his local debut last time. If he can confirm that upturn in form here, he represents the EW value in this race. I don’t think he has enough to shed his maiden tag, but he should fight out the places.
