Horse Racing Tips
Tuesday’s horse racing action is available from Gauteng, with a nine-race program from the Turffontein Standside track. Racing begins at 12:00 and includes a competitive Graduation Plate event in Race 5. Below are our South African horse racing tips and suggested bets for the day’s racing. Race 1 – 1000m (Maiden Plate)
The card opens with a work riders maiden, so no suggested bets from me. Keep an eye on the betting if you are going to have a wager, and please stake cautiously.

Race 2 – 1000m (Maiden Plate)
TAKE YOUR PLACE is better than her last start. She returns to the track after a 15-week break. If she is fit to go, she should fight out the finish.

Race 3 – 2000m (MR 89 Handicap)
SUPREME DANCE takes a drop in class and should be competitive. He has shown signs of a form return and I am backing him to finish in the placings.

Race 4 – 2000m (MR 76 Handicap)
FLAG BEARER has good form and strong form lines. He dictated pace well last time and ran a good second. Carded to race with just 50kgs, he should fight out the finish.

Race 5 – 1600m (Graduation Plate)
HEATHER’S BOY is a progressive colt and should be too good for this field. He is unbeaten in two starts and should win again. He is a banker in all exotics, despite his short odds.
Suggested Bet – HEATHER’S BOY to win @ 21/20✅
Race 6 – 1400m (MR 98 Handicap)
WOLF MOUNTAIN was touched off in a Grade 3 last time and was unlucky not to win. He is the class horse in this race and should be too good for this field. Yet another banker for all exotics.

Race 7 – 1400m (FM 97 Handicap)
QUEEN OF LOVE is the best weighted runner in this competitive race. On best form, she should fight out the finish with the favourite CEUTA. I prefer the 5/1 EW value on her, than the 2/1 odds on CEUTA.

Race 8 – 1400m (FM 80 Handicap)
BOOM BOOM is unbeaten on this course and is my pick to win this race. She carries a handy mass of 57kgs and take a drop in class. On best form, she should be too good for her rivals.
Suggested Bet – BOOM BOOM EW @ 4.5/1✅ EW PLACE
Race 9 – 1160m (MR 86 Handicap)
THE NAVY LARK raced in a feature last time against MR 100+ horses and was not disgraced. Her form in handicap company before that run was consistent. She represents excellent EW value in the lucky last.
