Race 1 – 1000m (Maiden Plate)
HERITAGE RIDGE finished close behind the favourite CALL ME JANE in their last start. They meet at the same weight and should finish close once again. I prefer the 5/1 value on HERITAGE RIDGE than the skinny 16/10 on CALL ME JANE.

Race 2 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
CLIFF SWALLOW is a seasoned maiden who just can’t seem to win. However, he does run into the money often, and I am backing him to finish in the top four.

Race 3 – 1200m (Open Maiden)
I searched for some EW value in this open maiden race and found LEAD TO GLORY. The filly raced against winners last time in a Class 5 event and was not disgraced. Back in maiden company, she carries a handy mass of 54.5kgs in this race. I think she is over priced and can sneak into the money.

Race 4 – 1400m (Maiden Plate)
HONOR OF KINGS was a beaten odds on favourite in his last race. He is coming along nicely and should not be a maiden for too long. He meets the right field, and can win this race.

Race 5 – 1600m (Class 4)
This is a open race and you must go wide in all exotics. DALMENY FACTOR followed up his maiden win with a good third place. That form line has been franked and he should be competitive once again.

Race 6 – 1800m (Cape C Stakes)
AMONG THE CLOUDS has been running well and her consistency should soon be rewarded with a win. She has strong form, and despite carrying top weight, should go close.

Race 7 – 1200m (Cape B Stakes)
DARK WINTER needed her comeback run and will strip much fitter now. She is the best weighted runner in this contest, and on best form will fight out the finish.

Race 8 – 1200m (Class 4)
PARATROOPER showed signs of a form return last time. I am backing the four-year-old to confirm that improved run with another solid display. He has finally dropped to a competitive MR and can cause an upset.

Race 9 – 1200m (Class 3)
OLIVER is in great form and has won four of his last five races. He does carry 61kgs, but is in a good space. I think he can run another good race and can win four in a row.

Race 10 – 1000m (Class 4)
DAFNES DAUGHTER carries a handy mass of 55kgs in this Class 4 event. She has run into the money in both her races since shedding her maiden. I expect another forward run and she can give us some EW returns in the lucky last.
