Tuesday’s horse racing action is available from the Western Cape, with an eight-race program from the Durbanville Turf track. This looks like a three-horse race between TUSCAN ROMANCE, GOLDEN ANGEL and CHAMPAGNE KISSES. However, I am trying to beat them with DOUBLE DASH. She returns from a three-month break and, if fit, can surprise.

AUGUSTA BLUE finished 2.05 lengths behind the favourite SPIRIT’S UNITE last time. He is now 2kgs better at the weights, and they should finish closer. I would rather take the 5.5/1 on AUGUSTA BLUE than the 17/10 on the favourite.

SALVATOR MUNDI dictated terms well last time and finished third. Despite carrying top weight of 61kgs, he can run well again and finish in the money.

MARITZBURG MEMORY is a progressive filly and has plenty of scope. She ran on powerfully in her last start out of the maidens. The way she finished her race caught the eye. I think she can throw a big challenge to her rivals.

Race 8 – 1250m (Cape D Stakes)
LOOK FORWARD produced a typical second run after a rest. She is having her peak run here and will strip better. With some luck in running, she represents the EW value in the lucky last. I am hoping for a better effort, and for some EW returns to end of the days racing.
