Race 1 – 1200m (Maiden Plate)
GRAND APPEAL showed good improvement in his second run. He should come on from that effort and make more natural improvement. He meets the right field to shed his maiden.

GOOD LIVING is a seasoned maiden, but always runs into the money. From a wide draw, he will have it all to do to win. I think, he will be running on and should finish in the top three.

AMAFORT made the expected improvement in her last start when finishing second. That form line has been franked with two subsequent winners. From a pole draw, she is the horse to beat.

Race 4 – 1000m (MR 68 Handicap)
COTTON RON has fair form and has not finished too far back in his races. He is carded to race with virtually no weight in this sprint race. With just 50kgs on his back and from a pole draw, he is a leading contender.

Race 5 – 1000m (MR 90 Handicap)
CONNERY has been a revelation since relocating from the Cape. He has won three in a row in KZN and is going for another win. The appie takes off 4kgs, and with 56.5kgs, he is slung in to win again.

Race 6 – 1600m (FM 70 Handicap)
RADU won well last time and meets a similar field. She carries a hefty mass (60.5kgs), but has the form to be competitive. With some luck in running, the mare should finish in the placings.

Race 7 – 2000m (MR 90 Handicap)
POSITIVE ATTITUDE has been running well in KZN with a win and a third in his last two races. He runs well for Rachel Venniker, and the pair are a big threat in this race. I expect another good outing and a top three finish.

Race 8 – 2000m (Maiden Plate)
The last race of the day and you should load up in the exotics. SILVER PLATTER is having his third run in the province. The gelding represents the value in this race. If he sees out the 2000m, he should be involved at the finish.
